Set just 40 minutes from the busy centre of Hobart, Bruny Island promises visitors an exceptional landscapes, stunning viewpoints, and native wildlife. On this spectacular Bruny Island Day Tour, we’ll show you the best of Bruny Island’s popular hotspots and take you to the best walks and swims in the area.

To get to the island, we’ll board the Bruny Island ferry from Hobart.

When we arrive at Bruny Island, our first stop is Mavista Falls. Here you’ll take a guided walk through the enchanting rainforest. We’ll stroll through the lush ferns and gullies that flank Waterfall Creek, then explore some of the pristine beaches around the island. While on the shore, you can take a paddle or even a quick dip in the ocean if you feel like it.

From there, we’ll head to the Neck, one of the most iconic attractions on Bruny Island. You’ll have the chance to soak up spectacular views from this great vantage point. Keep an eye out for some of Tasmania’s most fascinating native species – the rare albino wallaby.

Afterwards, you’ll have the opportunity to do some exploring on foot, walking amongst some of the best trails on Bruny Island. Then, we head to the Bruny Island Lighthouse. This is the second-oldest lighthouse in Australia and is awash with breathtaking views out across the Southern Ocean.

At lunchtime, we’ll make a pitstop for fish and chips or a sandwich before you have the chance to sample some more of the local produce, including oysters, chocolate, and some locally made Bruny Island cheese. When you’ve refuelled, we’ll head back to the beach where you can take a refreshing swim, wander along the white sand shoreline, or check out the magical rock pools that pepper the landscape.
As the adventure on Bruny Island comes to an end, we’ll take you back to Hobart, where you’re free to spend the evening exploring Tasmania’s quaint capital city however you choose.
