One of Victoria’s best kept secrets is hidden at the southernmost point of the mainland, the wildlife haven of Wilsons Promontory. Known as ‘The Prom’ or 'Wilson's Prom' to friendly locals, this national park is home to sweeping coastlines, dramatic granite mountains and native wildlife. The laidback vibe of Wilsons Promontory National Park means you’ll be treated to untouched beaches and countless walking trails as you make your way through the Australian bushland. This one day Wilson's Promontory tour from Melbourne shows the most breathtaking sights of the Victorian Southeast Coast.

Our Wilsons Promontory tour begins bright and early as we make our way to the town of Tooradin, 57 kilometres southeast of the city of Melbourne. Here you can stock up on snacks for the day before we make our way further out to Wilsons Promontory. Here you’ll embark on a wildlife walk where you’ll get the chance to spot some kangaroos, echidnas and maybe even the elusive wombat! After this, your day in the unspoiled nature reserve continues with a walk on Mount Bishop where you can choose from two walking routes, both offering breathtaking views of the forest or the sea out in the distance.

Following this, we’ll head to Squeaky Beach, known for it’s ‘singing sands’ where you’ll take a walk on the beach and go for a swim in the turquoise waters if you choose to do so (time permitting). During the day, we’ll explore iconic attractions of the park such as the Giant Rock, a unique and singular rock formation on the reserve and spend the day spotting out the friendly animals and birdlife who are lucky enough to call Wilson’s Promontory their home.

Finally, we’ll depart the pristine beaches and forest to make our journey back into the hustle and bustle of city life. We’ll make a quick dinner stop at Leongatha before we jump back on the bus and enjoy the passing views before we arrive back in Melbourne in the late evening.
